Mother and daughter team share their passion for organic and natural skincare in the creation of their own business.
Stripped Bath & Body was formed by mother and daughter team April Meyers and Kaley Sperling when they decided to turn a several year-long hobby into a joint business venture.
Both women possess a passion for natural and organic-based body and skin care. Kaley struggles with rosacea and a wide array of sensitivities. April suffers from a long list of allergies, including strong scents such as florals and musks. Between the two of them, finding bath and body care products that could be used independently was a difficult task; finding any that could be shared was next to impossible.
As a young teen already interested in eco-friendly products and sustainability, Kaley was the first to begin research into making their own stripped down versions of household products. April not only supported this, but joined her after discovering that the projects appealed to her creative and intellectual nature. Before long, the mother/daughter pair developed several formulations that worked well for them both.
Wanting to share this, April and Kaley began giving their creations away as holiday gifts to family and friends. These gifts were quite popular - so enjoyed they were requested for repeat purchase.
At the time, Kaley was too young to be a partner and April too preoccupied with her other business to handle another start up alone. That changed in 2016 when Kaley blossomed into a highly intelligent and talented young woman, every bit as entrepreneurial-minded as her mother. So at the tail end of that year, the duo worked together on forming their brand and prepping it for its debut launch in January of 2017.
Since then, the dynamic team has added several new products to their line. More is expected as the brand and its reputation continues to grow.
